Gay Marriage: All In Favor Vote "AMEN!"

The Holy Spirit distinctly and expressly declares
that in latter times
some will turn away from the faith,
giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits
and doctrines that demons teach,
Through the hypocrisy and pretensions of liars
whose consciences are seared (cauterized),

Who forbid people to marry
(1 Timothy 4:1-3)

In the Kansas City Star Newspaper, a Reverend writes, "Biblical principles regarding marriage are found in Gen. 1; Gen. 2; Matthew 19; Ephesians 5..."

As a gay Christian myself, I have found that indeed Biblical marriage principles are also found in 1 Corinthians 7, which opens with the Apostle Paul instructing 2 groups of unmarried people on marriage.  The 1st group of unmarried people (1 Corinthians 7:1-7) are clearly heterosexual, and clearly not married.  The 2nd group of unmarried people (1 Corinthians 7:8-9) are clearly not married, and clearly *not* heterosexual (or they would have been included in the 1st group).

Paul herein ordains marriage for "unmarried people" which includes those whom Jesus exempted from heterosexual marriage in Matthew 19:1-12 which the good Reverend, (having quoted Matthew 19) should be clearly aware of.

Further, in 1 Timothy 4:1-3 The Holy Spirit Himself warns Christians against "forbidding people to marry," saying those who do have fallen from the true Christian faith, and through hypocrisy and pretense (like divorce and adultery), forbid people to marry.

Finally, the "clobber passages" dealing with same gender expressions always do so in terms of heterosexual MARRIED men engaged in adultery with men, which is STILL an abomination!  Just ask their wives!  But they have nothing to do with LGBT people.

Many Christians are beginning to see that indeed Paul ordained gay marriage in 1 Corinthians 7:8-9, while many others do not.  Many Christians are beginning to see the Holy Spirit has clearly warned Christians against forbidding gay marriage, while again, others do not.

But while the good Reverend and I debate what Paul was (or wasn't) ordaining, or what the Holy Spirit was (or wasn't) warning Christians against, MILLIONS of LGBT people's lives are put on hold while the good Reverend and I will clearly "agree to disagree."

But let's just suppose for a moment that the good Reverend and I and every other God fearing Christian in the world recognized that the Apostle Paul indeed DID ordain gay marriage;

It would still NOT be a basis for Constitutional Law....because it would still only apply to Christians.

While we all recognize the good Reverend is only writing what he's been told to say about gay marriage (while being paid off by plenty of politically motivated filthy lucre), we surely must all realize that whether the Bible opposes OR supports gay marriage for Christians, it fails to meet the Constitutional muster required for passing laws.

....and that's my two cents on this.
